Cats and THE ZODIAC

ARIES

Your Aries cat is the most self-possessed of all cats, making it clear from the start that he or she requires independence. Your Aries cat is likely to be territorial, marking their territory early in their arrival in your abode. Boredom is the enemy of this cat. They thrive in an area that has plenty of stimulation and creates mischief when bored. If your Aries cat is housebound then you need plenty of climbing apparatus. Otherwise, they will delight in exploring back yards far and wide, roaming back alleys and climbing fences. This is a wilful cat, and you would be best advised to give them free rein.

TAURUS

Your Taurus cat is loyal, faithful and prone to finding the most comfortable place in your home and settling there daily. They are a devoted lap cat, with one proviso – that you provide regular meals. This cat loves food. They may not be particular about what is served up but will want regular meals. You may need to regulate your Taurus cat’s diet as they are unlikely to do so. Your Taurus cat is the ideal home cat as they desire comfort above all else. This cat delights in the warmth of a human body, or other animals. They make it clear who is their person and remain devoted.

GEMINI

If possible, the ideal Gemini cat is one that comes in a pair, so that they
have each other to amuse themselves. If not possible, then you need to provide plenty of activity for your Gemini cat. This cat loves to play and chat. They will communicate loudly what they want, and they want variety. A cat flap may save many arguments about when they are allowed in or out. They are likely to be prefer being outside where the occasional fly, bee, or wind-propelled leaf can provide hours of entertainment. However, a caution here is that Gemini cats can be
accident prone, as they are insatiably curious and less aware of danger than their feline compatriots.

CANCER

If you want a cat that is more homely and less independent than the breed is known for being, then your Cancer cat is the way to go. This cat loves being in a home, with a family, and would love to have the chance to raise their own family. This is a soft-hearted cat who is likely to entwine themselves around your legs the moment that you stand still. A Cancer cat fares best in a home where someone is always around. Your Cancer cat is unlikely to enjoy being left alone for long periods. You will know that they are upset as they are likely to withdraw and sulk. Yes, this cat can sulk. It is broody in all senses of the word.

LEO

Your Leo cat quickly establishes themselves as the boss of your household. Leo cats are charming, delightful kittens and totally in charge of the household by the time they are adult cats. They will spend a lot of time grooming, persisting until their coat is glowing. They are also natural hunters, likely bringing you gifts, their prey dropped at your feet. Woe betides the human who doesn’t offer praise and appreciation for the Leo cat’s efforts. Your Leo cat also enjoys playful interactions and can make a wonderful companion for younger members of your family, if everyone recognises that they are the star.

VIRGO

Your Virgo cat is the cleanest cat on the block, grooming and hygiene being a high priority. They are fussy, and this may be obvious in their eating habits. You may be required to provide a specific type of food, and this may be a health requirement not just a food preference. Your Virgo cat requires routine, regular meals, people coming and going at regular intervals. If you think that your Virgo cat is showing signs of stress, then this is likely true. This cat needs order, a home that is clean, a space to call their own, clean bowls, fresh water and an owner who has regular habits. This cat may prefer one owner who is quiet and stable.

LIBRA

If you are seeking a cat who is likely to add peace and calm to your household then your Libra cat is the ideal feline. They are charming, clean, accommodating and non-demanding. They quietly observe the comings and goings of your household and then accommodate as best that they can. Your Libra cat is likely to appreciate attention in the form of a gentle grooming brush, or the occasional fine dining meal. If you are seeking a cat that prefers indoors activities rather than the adventure of the great outdoors, then this is your cat. Like the Taurus cat, this one is likely to stay close to home and seek joint sleeping arrangements.

SCORPIO

Your Scorpio cat is an enigma. Like black cats, Scorpio has attracted its fair share of sinister associations, but this cat is the most loyal and devoted of cats. Your Scorpio cat is likely to attached themselves to one favourite person in your family and show great devotion. It is also possible that this wondrous cat attaches themselves to the person who needs them the most. Your Scorpio cat has healing qualities. This is the cat that enters your household at just the right time, bringing a sense of intrigue. How does this cat know how to be in the right place at the right time? Your Scorpio cat teaches you about intuition.

AGITTARIUS

Your Sagittarius cat is a natural explorer. This is a cat with wanderlust and may be better suited to wide open spaces rather than a city home. They bound into most situations without much forethought, testing the theory that cats have nine lives. Freedom is a necessity for your Sagittarius cat. A cat flap that allows your cat to come and go as they please is an essential. They are also unlikely to recognise the restrictions of fences, having a natural ability to bound over surfaces, climb fences and even the highest trees and rooftops. Your Sagittarius cat is an active one. Long sleeps or resting periods are unlikely unless they are ailing.

CAPRICORN

Your Capricorn cat is self-possessed, preferring their own company. This is not a cat who likes excessive displays of affection, preferring to keep to their own schedule. All that is required is that you provide a clean space for sleeping, and regular meals. Otherwise, you are likely to see your cat in a corner of your home, washing itself. If you lean down to pat this cat then they are likely to shrug you off and clean the spot that you touched. They are detached, loyal, but standoffish. Your Capricorn cat is unlikely to take well to other cats, or animals, being introduced to the household. If you want a single animal, one who is not too much bother then the Capricorn cat is for you.

AQUARIUS

Your Aquarius cat is quicky, not what you expect from a cat. They are independent. Freedom to come and go is a requirement. However, they will also show strong signs of affection to their human when given this freedom. In other words, this cat can be affectionate, but on its own terms. This cat moves in mysterious ways. Just as you understand their requirements for space and food, then the mood shifts and they want something else. Your Aquarius cat is devoted, once they make up their mind that you are ok. They also prefer to set their own rules of engagement. They approach you, rather than the reverse.

PISCES

Generally speaking, cats do not like water. Your Pisces cat is an exception to the rule. They may not like being fully immersed in water, but they are likely to be attracted to running water. This is the cat who sees a fishbowl and cannot resist sticking in a paw to see if they can catch their watery prey. Pisces cats are soft-hearted, sensitive like their human counterpart, and may be sensitive to certain foods and environments. This cat can be needy, wanting a lot of attention. If you are seeking a loving, constant companion then this is your cat.
