Saturn in Aries

Saturn – planet of discipline, responsibility, and structure – shifts from sensitive Pisces into fiery Aries on May 24 giving us a taste of Saturn lessons to come.

The planet Saturn moves through the Zodiac every 29 years, spending approximately 3 years in each Sign. Saturn moves into Aries in May and Retrogrades into Pisces on September 1 before finally moving into Aries from February 14, 2026 where he stays until February 13, 2028.

Whenever Saturn enters Aries the lesson is about learning the responsible use of personal power. Saturn is the prime planet about duty, reputation, and taking time to build something slowly and surely. Aries, on the other hand is fiery, impulsive and self-determining. So we need to blend the two energies, setting clear boundaries, expressing ourselves in ways that enhance our reputation, taking responsibility for ourselves, being accountable.

Think back to the last time that Saturn was in Aries from 1996 to 1998. This period saw the rise in the self-help culture, and the burgeoning of the World Wide Web which gave a structure for each individual to learn, connect and work.

You can also look back to those years to see the patterns in your own life. What section of your birth chart does Saturn transit through? And if you don’t know your birth chart then you can look to your Sun Sign, or Solar Chart.

If you have an Aries Sun then this is your biggest personal growth cycle in 30 years. You’re stepping to another level of maturity, whether you want to or not. Saturn will demand you take full responsibility for your identity, goals, and personal path.

If you have a Taurus Sun then this is a period of Karmic clearing and subconscious work. For you it is more of a quiet, behind-the-scenes kind of transformation. You may also need to confront inner fears, limitations, and patterns from the past.

Geminis, you are re-defining friendships, community, and long-term dreams. You will crave authentic connections and purpose-driven plans. You may also take on a leadership role in a group or club.

If you have a Cancer Sun Sign then your career and life direction under serious review. You may take on more public responsibility, leadership, or long-term commitments.

Leos, this is the time to commit to growth—through education, travel, or spiritual practice. Saturn in Aries wants you to back your beliefs with real-world action. The saying ‘walk your talk’ comes to mind.

Virgos, you are likely to face themes around trust, intimacy, and shared resources. You need to take responsibility for how you invest your time and money. Debts need to be cleared, taxes paid and inheritances used wisely.

Relationships are tested and refined for Libras because Saturn is in your opposite sign and puts serious focus on partnerships. You are likely to face issues of commitment, boundaries, and balance within your primary partnerships.

For Scorpio Sun Signs this is a season of discipline in work, health, and daily habits. Saturn demands structure within your daily routines, job responsibilities, and habits.

Sagittarius, it is time to get serious about your creativity. This means that you need to stop putting off passion projects through fear or doubt. You need to commit to a labour of love, making time for a successful outcome.

Capricorns, Saturn is your ruling planet and so this means building a strong foundation for the next chapter in your life. It is time to build stability in your private life with the same dedication that you show to your career.

Strong-minded Aquarians are called on to build firm links with neighbours, siblings and local neighbourhood merchants. Your words take on extra meaning, having a stronger than usual impact, so choose your words carefully.

Pisces, Saturn urges you to have a long hard look at your money, self-worth, and values. Self worth and material resources go hand in hand and so it is time to develop a solid foundation of confidence. Turn your money dreams into reality.
